Our latest She’s a Boss interview chats to Georgia Cole of Cheap Frills, Brighton which specialises in affordable jewelry including sterling silver, that oozes personality and fun – much like the woman behind it.
What year did you become your own boss?
It was 2012, so for five years now.
In a sentence, tell us why you wanted to become your own boss?
I wanted to take a creative interest and turn it into a profession. My husband has done this with his band and I thought to myself, ‘I need a thing too’. I loved making jewelry so it shaped up from there.
One word to describe being a boss: Busy!
What is your vision for 2017?
To achieve greater work / life balance as a new mum as well as to continue to push the business forward. I’ve really enjoyed getting back into blogging too, sharing more of my personal life behind the brand.
Who would play the role of YOU if your life story became a Hollywood movie, and why?
It has to be Joanna Lumley as Patsy! She is brilliant and drinks a lot (laughs), she doesn’t mind swearing either but on the other side of that, she still glows with glitz and glamour.
Woman to woman, what’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given by a girl friend and that you now like to give to others?
Be kind to yourself. Don’t internalize difficulties or pain, nor take on too much. Just give yourself a break and don’t beat yourself up.
Which mug design on the Laughter & Boom menu is your favourite?
Here’s a cup of calm the f**k down. It reminds me to be chilled and collected.
Will you be drinking tea or coffee out of it? Tell us what your fave cuppa is.
Prosecco – by the mug…am I allowed to say that?
Georgia, a girl who drinks prosecco out of a mug and relates to Patsy Stone is our kind of girl. x
